Junior/Senior Prom

April 6, 8:00 - 11:00 p.m.

Location: Bagsby Ranch, 1628 Long Hollow Pike, Gallatin TN 37066

Cost: $50 per ticket

Ticket Sales: March 13, 14, 15, 25, 26, 27, and 28 during lunch.

*Students must arrive by 9:00 pm.

Surf’s Up Day

April 19 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Location: Pope Prep Jim Carell Athletic Complex 

Cost: No Cost

Dress: Students can to dress in Hawaiian shirts, Pope gear, or casual/athletic gear. Shorts are appropriate for the day; please be mindful of length. Shirts must be worn at all times; no crop tops are allowed. Clothing should have no reference to drugs, alcohol, or political imaging.

Senior Assembly (for Pope Prep high school students and faculty only)

April 25, 2:15 - 3:10 p.m.

Location: Auditorium

 

College Decision Day Celebration

May 1

Students are encouraged to wear a t-shirt representing their college decision to school on this day. Students must share their college with counselors by May 1 to be included in the graduation program.

AP Exams

Last Day of Senior Classes

Senior Exams

May 13 - May 15

Students must have achieved at least an 80 average in semester 2 in a subject to be exempt from the final semester exam in that subject. Seniors who are exempt from an exam will not be required to be present for class on the day of the exam and will not be considered absent for the exam period. (There are no exams for fine arts, innovate, and physical education courses.)

 

Graduation Practice - MANDATORY!

May 15, 1:00 - 2:30 p.m.

Senior Walk

Seniors take their last stroll through the halls of Pope Prep and are encouraged, per tradition, to wear a t-shirt representing their college decision.

May 15, 2:45 p.m. (parents welcome)

Senior Arrival: Seniors report to the Dining Hall following graduation practice.

Parent Arrival and Entrance: Parents may arrive beginning at 2:30 p.m. and enter through the main office.

Senior Honors Night

May 16, 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Reception at 6:00 p.m. and Award Ceremony at 6:30 p.m.

Location: Auditorium

Dress: Sunday Best

**Parents of students being honored will receive an email invitation.

**Please note the school will not distribute cords on this night. More information will be shared about cords at a later date. The three available cords are Academic (members of the National Honor Society), Fine Arts (National Art Honor Society, National Thespian Society, Outside School Ensemble, four-year Singers or Honors Recipients), and Leadership (given to members of the Ministry class, senior House Council members, and Ambassadors who served through their senior year. 

 

Baccalaureate Mass

Saturday, May 18, 7:00 p.m.

Location: Our Lady of the Lake, 1729 Stop 30 Road, Hendersonville 37075 

Senior Arrival: Seniors arrive at 6:00 p.m. and report to St. Joseph Hall.

Family Arrival: Families should arrive no earlier than 6:30 p.m. due to OLOL's 5:00 p.m. Mass.

Tickets: Tickets are required for parents and guests. No reserved seating. Each family will receive a maximum order of 5 tickets. Students or parents are asked to complete a Google Form (link below) to reserve the number of tickets they need by April 1. Requests for additional tickets may be emailed directly to Kyle Reynolds. We will do our best to accommodate additional ticket requests if other families indicate they do not need all of their tickets. Otherwise, all seniors will receive at most 5 tickets at the first distribution.

Graduation

Sunday, May 19, 3:00 p.m.

Location: Grand Ole Opry House, 2804 Opryland Dr, Nashville, TN 37214

Senior Arrival: Seniors arrive at 1:30 p.m.

NOTE: We will take a group picture, so please be on time and please wear a cap and gown.

Family Arrival: Doors open at 2:15 p.m. for families and guests.

Tickets: Tickets are required for parents and guests. There is no reserved seating (except for the Gala auction winners). All seniors will be given the maximum order of 20 tickets. Students or parents are asked to complete a Google Form (link below) to reserve the number of tickets they need by April 1. Requests for additional tickets may be emailed directly to Kyle Reynolds. We will do our best to accommodate additional ticket requests if other families indicate they do not need all of their tickets. Otherwise, all seniors will receive at most 20 tickets at the first distribution.

Project Graduation

May 19-20, 11:15 p.m. - 6:00 a.m.

Location: Pope John Paul II Preparatory School

Senior Arrival: Seniors must arrive between 11:15 p.m.-11:45 p.m. and stay for the entire event.

Cost: Donations are appreciated (information will be sent later).

DRESS CODE for Graduates: Baccalaureate Mass and Graduation

Baccalaureate Mass: Graduation Gown (no cap)

Graduation: Graduation Cap and Gown with provided tassel (decorated caps are not allowed). 

The following should be worn underneath the graduation robe for both events:

Men white dress shirt, dark dress pants, gold tie (tie: solid gold or gold print), dress shoes (no flip-flops or athletic shoes). Men must be clean-shaven for these events.

Womena dress of any color (consider color/pattern if it hangs below robe), light tan or white shoes (no flip-flops or athletic shoes). Students will be walking up a set of stairs to the stage; please be mindful when wearing high heels.

iPad Drop Off 

During the week of May 13, please plan to turn in your iPad to the tech department. We will send out more information regarding iPads as we get closer to the date.

Lunch Accounts

The last day to charge accounts into the negative is April 26. All negative balances must be paid off by May 10.
