Scholarships

Pope John Paul II Preparatory School is excited to announce new scholarship opportunities for 2024-2025 incoming JPII students.

As a result of generous Catholic and Non-Catholic donors who believe that Catholic education should be accessible to as many students as possible, we are able to offer four new scholarships; three need-based scholarships, and one merit scholarship. Please read through the descriptions of each below to see if you meet the criteria and complete the appropriate Inquiry Form. If you have questions, please contact our admissions office at (615) 590-6005 or email Kathleen Bender (kathleen.bender@popeprep.org).

The Bishop Scholarships (Bishop Welcome, Bishop Bridge, and JPII Excellence) are named in honor of the continued support of each of the Nashville Catholic Diocese’s bishops throughout JPII’s 21-year history: Bishop Edward Kmiec (1992-2004), Bishop David Choby (2005-2017), and our current beloved Bishop J. Mark Spalding (2018-present). We are grateful for the Diocese of Nashville’s unwavering support for Catholic education and donors who support our mission.

The Empower Ministry  Scholarship is designed to serve Protestant church leaders seeking a Christ-centered education for their children. This scholarship was established with the help of a generous gift from one of our faithful supporters with Protestant pastors in mind. It is also open to students who are members of and regularly attend an area Christian church.

Please select the appropriate Inquiry Form.

Additional Need-Based Scholarships

Families must complete a FACTS financial aid application to be considered for need-based awards.

No Athletic Scholarships Offered

It is a common misunderstanding that schools in Division II may give athletic scholarships. By rule of the TSSAA, no school may give athletic scholarships. If they do, the school is penalized, and the athlete loses eligibility. All students who attend Pope Prep, athlete or not, are eligible to apply for financial aid through FACTS and are awarded aid based on need.
