World Languages

At Pope John Paul II Preparatory School, a student can excel in one of four languages: Chinese, French, Spanish, and Latin. Students will graduate from our program as confident communicators who value and appreciate the joy of cultural diversity. Latin students will understand Roman civilization's linguistic, literary, and historical impact on later European and American cultures.

Middle school students begin studying a world language in the 7th grade and can choose from Chinese, Spanish, or Latin. They will continue learning their second language during their 8th grade year.

High school students are required to take a minimum of two consecutive years of the same world language, and many choose to take a third and fourth year to continue growing their language skills. At the high school level, students will now have the option to study French. We look forward to walking with you on your second language journey!
